Fort Smallwood Road Sidewalk

November 18, 2016

Earlier this year (2016) I wrote to, and spoke with, County Executive Steve Schuh requesting that he put money in the County budget to construct a sidewalk on Fort Smallwood Road that would run from the entrance to Sunset Elementary School to the Riviera Beach Library on Duvall Highway.

The public safety need for such a sidewalk for Sunset Elementary and Northeast High School students, as well as for adults, has been well established, and the budgeted expansion of the Riviera Beach Library provides an added impetus for the need for this sidewalk.

The County Executive has responded favorably to my request and has committed to putting money in the Capital Budget for this project.
